Volunteer Attorney Work
The impacts of the pandemic and the economic fallout have been widespread, but are particularly traumatic to low income communities. Many of our clients are facing major economic pressures and debt. LSHV clients are very low income, in accordance with the national poverty level, with little to no savings or resources to pay for basic necessities, but are facing collections, creditors constantly calling, and risks to their wages or nominal savings and assets. The list of clients seeking pro bono assistance is long and rapidly growing as a result of COVID, and we are always in need of volunteer attorneys. In exchange for providing pro bono legal services, LSHV can provide you with CLE credit – 1 credit per 2 hours of legal service!
