Resource Development Volunteer

Volunteer Role:

Multiple volunteers are needed within United Way of the Dutchess-Orange Region’s Resource Development department from July-November to assist with the following activities. 

• General administrative support for United Way staff including:

  • web-based research

  • Use of MS Office to type letters, reports, powerpoint presentations, excel spreadsheets

  • filing and clerical support

  • use of office equipment including copier, fax, folding machine, postage meter

• Use of photocopier to duplicate campaign materials

• Retrieve requests for supplies and collate campaign materials to be delivered to organizations facilitating workplace campaigns

• Review daily newspapers for relevant information

For volunteers with their own transportation; United Way seeks a volunteer to assist with the following role:

• Deliver campaign materials to workplaces in Dutchess County and/or Orange County (Volunteers are required to use their own vehicle for this assignment; proof of auto insurance required. Mileage is reimbursed with advance approval).
